Hi, great post. When I read “Ferengi Programmer” post first time i thought about the Dreyfus Model as well. Beginners need guidelines to work. None should say that SOLID or any other principle is generally bad or useless. It depends. It seems that some people forgot about the context.

@mike at least believes that he is I have no idea though, never met him. Was just giving the benefit of the doubt for this post, and I guess when I’m talking about skills in that area I mean general good design skills which maybe he wouldn’t refer to as SOLID.
